Chasing Ice is a recently released 2012 documentary film about climate change. National Geographic photographer, James Balog delivers an inspiring story of his mission to uncover an undeniable evidence of our changing planet. Together with his team of young adventurers and director, Jeff Orlowski, they used time-lapse cameras over a period of years across the Arctic to capture the world’s melting and disappearing glaciers for everyone to see. Chasing Ice reflects Balog’s work on Extreme Ice Survey providing a visual representation (photography and video) to document the effects of climate change on glacial ice.

The film won the Satellite Award for Best Documentary Film, an annual award given by the International Press Academy.
