The tradition of Christmas and Santa Claus brings joy and sparkle in family households around the world.

The idea of gift-giving and celebration can be redefined by reducing our carbon footprint in simple ways such as green gift-wrapping (recycled paper, natural fiber fabrics, or biodegradable paper), buying local food for dinner and parties, using energy efficiently, recycling of toys and gifts!

Christmas is about family togetherness. Just as much as we value the tradition of love, joy, and peace among families and other nations, it also brings further cheers and delight to consciously celebrate a green Christmas – by being mindful of purchases and gift-giving actions.

Here’s an interesting visual representation of Santa’s carbon footprint, published by Ethical Ocean.
